Rebecca Montano, PhD

Rebecca Montano, PhD, CCM, CRC, CMC is an Aging Life Care Manager and Eldercare Mediator with over 25 years of experience working with individuals with disabilities as well as individuals who are experiencing the changes and challenges associated with aging. Rebecca has a Ph.D. in Human Services with an emphasis in Geriatrics, a Masters degree in Rehabilitation Counseling, and a Master’s degree in Business Administration. She holds multiple industry recognized certifications, and she has been an active member of the Western Region Chapter of the Aging Life Care Association Board of Directors since 2015. Rebecca is not only a practitioner in aging related services; but she is also an academic, who writes curriculum and teaches at a collegiate level with a focus on patient-centered care, improved quality of care, innovation, and leadership. Her students are post-graduate professionals including care managers, social workers, nurses, ancillary healthcare professionals, physicians, and organizational leaders. She is also active in community education with a focus on aging issues for individuals, families, and community members. Dignity, individualism, advocacy, education, and preservation of value are the key elements in Rebecca’s philosophy of working with today’s aging adults. Leading by example, collaboration, and communication are the primary standards in Rebecca’s philosophy of working with other professionals.
