DeEtte Loeffler is the founder of DeEtte L. Loeffler, a Professional Law Corporation, which opened in May of 2022. She was previously a partner at Miller, Monson, Peshel, Polacek & Hoshaw in San Diego. DeEtte received her BA in English from the University of Washington, her law degree from Pepperdine University School of Law, cum laude, and her LL.M in Taxation from the University of San Diego School of Law, summa cum laude. She was admitted to practice in California in 1989. Ms. Loeffler’s practice includes tax and estate planning, trust administration, charitable planning, and business. She provides tax planning to minimize a variety of taxes for her clients, including real property, income, gift, estate and generation-skipping taxes. She also works with small business owners, forming and maintaining real estate and other entities, and advising them on tax issues. Ms. Loeffler is the current Chair of the San Diego County Bar Association Tax Section and is a member of the following professional organizations: Tax, and Trusts and Estates Sections of the California Lawyers Association; Tax, Trusts & Estates, and Elder Law Sections of the San Diego County Bar Association; North County Estate Planning Council; Estate Planning Group Network; and ProVisors. She is currently serving on the executive committee of the Board of Directors of the Downtown San Diego Lions Club. In 2014, Ms. Loeffler retired as a lieutenant colonel after serving 24 years as a Judge Advocate in the United States Army Reserve.
