Scott Ingold, Esq. is a partner with Higgs Fletcher & Mack, LLP. His practice focuses on
estate and trust litigation, including advising trustees, conservators, guardians, and personal
representatives in both non-litigated, and litigated matters. Mr. Ingold is licensed in both
California and Nevada, and has litigated matters in state and federal courts, in jury and bench
trials, and in binding arbitrations.
Mr. Ingold currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Probate Attorneys of San
Diego. He is one of the authors of the San Diego Probate Handbook, and has presented at
various forums, including the American Bar Association Tax Section meeting and the National
Business Institute Estate Planning Seminar. He has previously served on the Probate Court’s
Court-Appointed Attorney and Court-Appointed Guardian ad Litem list, and currently serves on
the Court’s panel of Mandatory Settlement Conference Officers.
Mr. Ingold has been named to the San Diego Super Lawyers® list from 2020-2023. He
was also named a San Diego “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers® from 2015 to 2017. He briefed
and argued the case of Haggerty v. Thornton to the Fourth District Court of Appeal which
rendered a published decision in his client’s favor. The California Supreme Court recently
affirmed that decision.
