PFAC’s Legislative Committee’s mission is, as part of the State Legislative process, to represent and advocate for the best interests of professional fiduciaries and to provide reports to PFAC members regarding the committee’s legislative efforts. The committee’s purview is limited to proposed legislation which directly relates to professional fiduciary licensing or the various capacities in which a professional fiduciary is licensed to act. The committee’s representation and advocacy to include reviewing, analyzing and, when appropriate, pursuing modification of proposed legislation which seeks to either amend or adopt new provisions into California law. With the approval of the Board of Directors, the committee is authorized to draft and sponsor legislation which seeks to address issues relating to a professional fiduciary.
