General Membership

  • Licensed professional fiduciary with two or more non-family clients.
  • Requirements to join include the following and are a part of the online application process. Please be prepared with these items prior to filling out the application. You cannot save the application and return to it later.
    • Completed online Membership Application
    • Three professional references
      • One must be a current PFAC member (Charter, General, Associate) in good standing.
      • Two additional who can attest to your work as a fiduciary or in a professional capacity. No relatives.
    • Current state issued driver’s license or identification card
    • Essay of 250 words or less answering “Why would you like to join PFAC?”
    • Current professional resume
    • Must meet one of the following three conditions:
      • Condition 1:
        Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution.
        Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Professional Fiduciary.
        • At least two (2) cases not related to the fiduciary.
      • Condition 2:
        Associate of Arts Degree from an accredited institution.
        Minimum of four (4) years of experience as a Professional Fiduciary.
        • At least two (2) cases not related to the fiduciary.
      • Condition 3:
        A minimum of four (4) years of experience as a Professional Fiduciary.
        • At least two (2) cases not related to the fiduciary.
          Education requirement for condition 3:
          • Completion of a licensed college, university, extension or vocational fiduciary program course of study that requires passing grade testing and leads to the school’s certificate program diploma.
          • Evidence of qualification as a Certified Trust and Financial Advisor under the American Banking Association
          • Equivalent experience assessed and approved by the majority of the Corporation Board of Directors in relation but not limited to a combination of the following:
            • Acting as a trustee or co-trustee.
            • Acting as named executor or administrator.
            • Acting as a conservator or guardian of the person and/or the estate.
            • Acting as a representative payee authorized by the Social Security Administration and Veterans Administration.
            • Acting under a durable power of attorney for finances or for health (Advance Directive).
            • Acting in a decision-making capacity with signing authority for bank, brokerage, real estate and court petitions – such as a bank trust officer or officer of the public guardian, public administrator, or public conservator.
  • Annual Membership Dues: $350/calendar year (prorated upon application submission.)
