This course will discuss the fundamental financial management obligations of trustees and fiduciaries under the Uniform Prudent Investor Act. We will identify common ways these obligations may be compromised and how these issues may be remedied.
Jeremy L. Lau, CFA, CFP serves as President and Chief Investment Officer of Prudent Investors. He specializes in managing assets for public and private fiduciaries and individual households. He teaches the investment management course for Cal State University, Fullerton’s trustee certification program and frequently speaks on fiduciary investing to attorneys and fiduciaries across various associations. Before joining Prudent Investors, he worked as an Executive Director in investment banking in Asia for some of the world’s largest securities firms in structured credit and convertible bonds. He graduated in Accounting (with Honors distinction) from Brigham Young University and has earned the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) and Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designations.
