The Professional Fiduciaries Bureau of California is currently recruiting licensees to serve as Subject Matter Experts to participate in an Occupational Analysis (OA) for Professional Fiduciaries. Conducted every five to eight years, the OA looks at the broad scope of practice of the profession as it is practiced in California today. Its results are used to identify the important tasks and knowledge related to safe and competent practice as a new licensee. In addition, the results of the OA are reviewed by the Legislature as part of the sunset review process and are often used in examining issues of licensure testing, scope, and regulation.
As a licensee, you will be participating in an OA workshop. The workshop will focus on identifying the tasks (and their requisite knowledge) performed by entry-level Professional Fiduciaries, and required to practice as a licensed Professional Fiduciary in California.
New licensees (licensed five years or less) are encouraged to apply, as your input is needed to maintain standards at entry level.
The workshop will be held in Sacramento January 30-31, 2018.
The following criteria must be met to be considered as a Subject Matter Expert:
- Possess a current and valid Professional Fiduciary license;
- Have no pending disciplinary actions against your license;
- Agree to enter into a contract with the Bureau in order to be paid per diem rate and for reimbursement of travel expenses. However, if you do not wish to be paid or reimbursed there is no need to enter into a contract with the Bureau; and
- Complete a conflict of interest form, examination security agreement, and contract form.
If you are interested in being considered for this or future workshops, please submit a request and resume by email or mail to:
