PFAC Membership and Application Information
PFAC offers two membership levels designed for
individuals organizations with a range of membership benefits.
Please review the following education and experience requirements
for both levels to determine which membership is most appropriate
for you or your organization. In addition review By-Laws and
Code of Ethics (CLICK ON THE “ABOUT US” LINK TO
THE LEFT) All potential members must provide referral
letter to three persons.
GENERAL (voting rights)
- Annual Membership Fee: $300.00 APPLICATION and Information
Individuals applying for General Membership shall have a Bachelor’s Degree
from an accredited Institution and a minimum of two (2) years experience as
a Professional Fiduciary (with a minimum of two (2) cases not related to the
fiduciary), or an Associate Arts Degree from an accredited Institution and
a minimum of four (4) years of experience as a Professional Fiduciary (with
a minimum of two (2) cases not related to the fiduciary), or completion of
the California State University certification program and four (4) years of
experience (with a minimum of two (2) cases not related to the fiduciary).
Maintain a general membership you must comply with our Bylaws. See requirements
listed after Associate membership
ASSOCIATE (non-voting)
- Annual Membership Fee: $175.00 APPLICATION and Information
An Associate Membership level is designed for individuals
who do not yet meet the qualifications for a General Member,
but who are actively pursuing a career as a Professional
Fiduciary. Membership at this level is limited to five
(5) years. Extensions and modifications to these provisions
shall be at the discretion of the Membership Committee.
Associate Members may use the name of the Association,
its initials (PFAC), or logo in relation to their professional
activities. Although Associate Members are not entitled
to voting membership status, they are entitled to educational
benefits and are required to maintain their membership
status by meeting the following requirements:
Requirements:
Action for removal from membership shall be automatic if, failure to pay annual
dues, or failure to earn 15 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) annually and
attend at least three meetings a year, (which may include one educational
conference and two regional meetings [a chapter meeting may be substituted
for one regional meeting], or three regional meetings [two chapter meetings
may be substituted for two regional meetings]) or for breach of fiduciary
duty as determined by this organization’s Ethics Review Committee and
later ratified by the Board of Directors. All members are also required to
conduct themselves according to State requirements as well as to comply with
the PFAC standards and ethics policies.
